RESIDENCE PERMIT EXTENSION APPLICATION

Foreign nationals who have previously applied for a residence permit and have been granted one must apply for a residence permit extension before the expiration date. Foreigners whose residence or work permits within Turkey are nearing their expiration date must apply for a residence permit extension no later than 60 days before the expiration date, and a few days before the expiration date.

A. RESIDENCE PERMIT EXTENSION PERIOD

For residence permit extension applications, foreigners must have a passport or a valid passport replacement document valid for at least 60 days from the date of the permit application.

The most important requirement for applying for an extension is to have previously held a residence permit and apply for an extension until it expires.

They can track the expiration date of their residence permit and the deadline for applying for an extension by checking the "EXPIRY DATE" section on the back of their residence permit card.

B. APPLICATION

Applications are submitted online/through the system, and the required documents are:

• Residence Permit Application Form
• Original and photocopy of passport or substitute document
• Photograph
• Declaration of sufficient and regular financial resources for the duration of the stay
• Document/receipt confirming payment of the residence permit fee and card fee
• Valid health insurance
• Electricity, water, or natural gas bills in the individual's name.
